Subject:Asian Brass Statues

I obtained 3 identical large brass dragon statues believed to be asian/chinese art. There is soemthing missing in the middle but someone told me they where weather vains????? I have no idea what they are, what period they are from, proper name or their value (if any). Can anyone help me identify them.

These creatures look like a Thai mythical bird called the 'hong', which usually is compared to a swan. Here's a link with a photo of one in a temple.
