bought a plate and bowl they bear the same mark...

any idea on dates or meaning?

Hello Alex,

The pattern is mostly called "Rose medallion" which became popular in the second half of the 19th. century. The marks reads "Da Qing Qianlong" but I think your plate and bowl are not older than 1970 and probably made in hong Kong.
