I have two large plates, 18" wide, with bright colored designs. There are oriental marks under one, and " GOLD IMARI HAND PAINTED AND A STICKER MARKED JAPAN " under the other. They are in very good condition, and I wonder if they are new or well cared for older plates. Any information would be helpful.

Hi Kurt,

Goldimari was a trademark in the US for imported Japanese porcelain and used from 1959 till 1984. I don't know the first mark but my guess for an age would be late 20th. century.
