Subject:identify pierced Asian ceramic vase and marks

Posted By: Bill H Wed, Oct 19, 2011 This is Japanese but not all of the characters are clear enough for me to take a stab at its maker's name. I've seen similar pieces described as everything from a cricket cage to a candle stand to an incense burner. The decoration suggests the piece might date to around 1900 or later, but more serious collectors of Japanese ceramics might have better ideas.
