Subject:Cup with metal rims
Posted By: Ron Mon, Oct 17, 2011 IP: 98.176.202.196 I got this cup off eBay. Noboby else bid on it so I got it for less than $20. It's got a metal band on the top rim and the foot rim too. It looks real old but it could have had a hard life. I know it has to have a certain age to it, so how old is it? It's actually rather elegant looking.

Posted By: Bill H Wed, Oct 19, 2011 I'm wondering if that might not be a Middle Eastern cup. Hard to seen anything of East Asia in the decoration, and metal rims are not exclusive to that area.
