Posted By: Patrick Norton Mon, Oct 24, 2011 Matsuguchi Getsujo who was born in Fukushima, Japan in the Meiji Period (1868-1912). I would think a real painting by him would have some historical value. But like all art, there are hundreds of copies. I have an original Thomas Kinkade but its value went into the toilet because of copies being sold at truck stops and dollar stores. Until copyright laws are enforced on multi-billion dollar corporations the only value in art is historical. |
