Subject:Red coral carving
Posted By: Patrick Norton Mon, Oct 31, 2011 IP: 99.184.60.229 Seems eBay is being flooded with coral carvings and they must be taboo this week, this is my second carving and it also passed both the milk and vinagar tests. I thought the United Nations was going to protect the coral reefs? These are pretty new coral carvings. Maybe they are coming from Taiwan, their coral reefs are the only ones listed as kind of healthy. Did CITES ever get red and pink coral reefs protected? |

Posted By: Patrick Norton Thu, Nov 03, 2011 Thanks Ernest, both pieces of carved coral seem to test out right. The one with pollips looks more like the white coral species then a pink coral, the red one is a bit darker then I would expect. Polished up nice. Thanks again. |
