Subject:Bamboo brush pot

I am wondering if anyone could translate or let me know what the signature on my brush pot says. Thank you.

The two characters on the right read down as 'Lao Tong'. 'Lao' means 'old', and 'Tong' is a Chinese name used for several trees, including the paulownia, the tung (source of oil) and the phoenix trees. I would guess this to be either the artisan's nickname or a studio name.

The other squared off marking looks like it might be meant to resemble a seal, but I can't make it out.

Best regards,

Bill H.
