Subject:Bamboo brush pot

Posted By: Bill H Tue, Dec 27, 2011 The two characters on the right read down as 'Lao Tong'. 'Lao' means 'old', and 'Tong' is a Chinese name used for several trees, including the paulownia, the tung (source of oil) and the phoenix trees. I would guess this to be either the artisan's nickname or a studio name. |
