Can anyone read the chop mark or signature on this painting? High dollar frame and matting? On silk.

can't read the seal entirely but what I can see reads "Chen Xing x hua", or "painted by Chen Xing-something", so your painter is Chinese.

Thank you, Rat. The painting is professionally framed and double matted, but the matting runs real close to bottom of chop mark. The signature makes me feel it is a grade 1 Chinese artist. I will search around on the name, thanks again. Anyone is welcome to comment if they recognize the signature.

Hi Rat & Patrick. The last character in the name may be 'li' (profit - Q [Big5]}.

Best regards,

Bill H.

Thanks Bill; there is an American Chinese artist named
CHEN LAI-XING
(CHEN LAI-HSING, B. 1949)
But, not his work; Chen Lai Xing paints like an American, this one I have is more traditional Chinese. But, most likely American acrylic or oil paint on silk; seems to have too much pigments for watercolor? Could be an ochre paint, bright color?
