Subject:shibayama panel
Posted By: G.Locke Sun, Jan 22, 2012 IP: 86.167.5.41 Hi, Can anyone help with this, the back of the hardwood panel has a Japanese character for [Hidari] incised into the hardwood, the applied inlays are of very good quality, but can anyone help with what the scene depicts, we suspect it is mythology/legend, four figures and a tiger.
