This dish has a well known pattern from the Kangxi period (1662-1722), but the dirtied-up foot and lack of any visible kiln flaws suggests it may be a late 20th century remake. The double-circle mark on the bottom has some skips that make me think decal.

Best regards,

Bill H.

Hi Adrian,

A pity the pictures are a bit small but I give it a try.
I can see a double circel on the back and that makes me think of Kangxi or .Kangxi revival period (later 19th. century and on)
Your dish have a very well known theme of a carp transforming into a dragon which has been made for ages.
The way the dragon is painted looks (as far as I can see) pr Guangxu.
The color of the blue cobalt looks greyish that makes me think of 19th. Century
The dots in the decoration near the rim makes me think 19th. Century
The standrim looks rather thick and rusty. This makes me think 19th. century. Maybe Fujian ware.

All in one my guess would be third quarter 19th century.

Regards,

Arjan

Hi Adrian,

I noticed the skips in the double circle as well (as noted by Bill H.) but thought that might be coused by the (flash) light. So you can show/tell if Bill is right. You can make a (better) picture of the (rusty) foot and circles, total front and maybe detail of the dragon.
You can use a picture resizer to make the pictures 800x600 (max) and 100kb or less.
I hope Bill H. will takes a look as well.

Regards

Arjan

Hello Arjan i posted 3 more picturesand yes in the circles looks like something missing but i can also see that still something there when have a good look, but while taking this pictures i found out someting really strang on the dreagonshead, take picture number 3 and concentrate on the light half (rigtside) of his face when you look good from a distance then you can see a human face, really i saw it while taken the pictures and thought what is this i can even see it now when i look at the dish from some distance, from close cannot see only see a dragon head, verystrange loo at the 3 picture from a distance en concentrate on the right- light half of the dragons face the second human eay is in the right dark area and then a nose and a beard i think, really very strange but it.s true

Hi all,

After seeing the clos-up from the bottom I'm afraid I have to go with Bill now. It shows caps indeed which points to a kind of printing.

Regards,

Arjan
