Posted By: rat Wed, Feb 08, 2012 please post the picture of the painting, it is always good to see what the seals are attached to because it helps narrow the possibilities down. The first seal is an artist's nickname, the second seems to be just a seal with a favorite epithet of the artist's, but I'm not sure of all the characters, so can't identify the artist. |

Posted By: rat Wed, Feb 15, 2012 sorry, just saw this. looks quite interesting, but I'm 100% sure what it is. It seems to be the character for prosperity, good fortune, etc, "fu" in Chinese, "fuku" in Japanese. will look at the seals again. Do you know what the title of the book was that you found it in? |
