Posted By: Bill H Sun, Feb 26, 2012 I believe the characters (in Japanese auto-select encoding) are �S��̈�i, possibly transcribed as 'tetsuki no itsuhin' and translatable as 'Gem of an iron utensil'. Since I am approaching this as a student of Chinese, I welcome all amendments by our Japanese savants.

Posted By: Guy Tue, Feb 28, 2012 Far from being a Japanese savant, I read this as 'tetsuki no itsubin' - I suppose that is a quality mark or label.
