Subject:Chinese Bowl Identification?

Hello, I recently acquired a very nice Chinese bowl through a family inheritance. The description accompanying the bowl is as follows:

White Chinese bowl with rim and incised floral pattern reminiscent of Sung.

Size is roughly 7 inches in diameter.

Is translucent? What color look like when strong light shined through?

Is rim painted brown?

"Reminiscent" sound about right.
