Subject:Info on another signature
Posted By: Peter Bagley Fri, Apr 20, 2012 IP: 86.27.19.218

Here's another signature I'd like translated, plus a picture of the little pot on which it appears.

I don't think it's of any value, but would be interested to know what it says if anyone can help.

Thanks.

This one is shown upside down. When flipped, the upper two characters read across from the right as 'Nippon' (Japan), and the lower two read down as the place and family name (Terabayashi). The apparent censer bearing the mark looks to be circa the late 20th century.

Best regards,

Bill H.

Thanks for the info.

Could you tell me what it is about this that dates it to the late 20th century.

Thanks.

The mark is upside down. It reads probably 'Nihon - Terabayashi'. That's all I can add.

Guy.
