Posted By: Cal Tue, Apr 24, 2012 The 'Dai Nihon' terminology originally was not used later than World War II, but it is quite possible that recently made products have revived such marks to simulate making early in 20th century. Some makers in past 30 years have been faking mass-produced tea-set factory marks from earlier in the 20th century. There is no reason that other marks could not also be revived or simulated -- not by the originating factories -- for export. |
