Subject:Rice Bowls
Posted By: Carol Miller Sun, May 06, 2012 IP: 98.86.108.47

I have several rice bowls and was wondering exactly what kind they are and how old. If anyone could help I would appreciate it.

The rice bowl is 3" by almost 2".

Such B&W rice grain china with apocryphal mark of Kangxi usually dates to the late 19th-early 20th century. Some of the period reign-marked pieces were quite fancy, such as this Guangxu teapot.

Best regards,

Bill H.
