Subject:Knife / Tanto Identification HELP!
Posted By: Jason Wed, Jun 06, 2012 IP: 74.36.46.9 Hello! I recently acquired this blade from a family friend. He got it from the estate of a WW2 vet. I think it is ox bone and the end caps seem to be different... maybe ivory? The tassel has green and blue thread knots woven in and overall it appears to be very old. Can anyone help me identify it and give a general value? I have more pics so if you need a closer look please e-mail me. |

Posted By: Cal Sat, Jun 09, 2012 The tassel is the type installed on 1920s-1930s covered baskets sold in USA, often used as sewing baskets. |
