Subject:Artist ID? Chinese painting of mountains in 'famille rose' Republic style
Posted By: Tim Wed, Nov 28, 2012 IP: 76.108.41.153

Can someone help with the identity of this artist?

Painted area measures 25.75" (66.9 cm)x 12.75" (33.2 cm).

Nice burlwood frame...looks to be from the Republic era (1920-30's) as the style is similar 'famille rose' landscape porcelains.

Thanks.

no, this is more recent by some decades than the 1930s, decently done from what I can see of it (whatever you think of the color scheme), but the artist's name is not leaping out at me from the seals or the signature, perhaps Yang Mingchen or something?
