Subject:Kangxi Imari tea cup - genuineness?
Posted By: JLim Tue, Dec 04, 2012 IP: 58.173.40.189

Last post for now, honest! Another object I recently acquired. Am I right in thinking this is a Kangxi Imari teacup and saucer? It's damn pretty, whatever it is.

Kind regards
JLim

Iron red enamel usually shows some wear over 200-250 years, especially on cups and bowls that were used for daily purposes.

My opinion.....late 19th / early 20th c.

Kangxi! In pristine condition. The foot rim confirms that it must be Sandai.
