Subject:Japanese ivory okimono - bobtail cat & rat TRANSLATE ARTIST SIGNATURE?

Can you anyone help translate the artist's signature on this small okimono I own?

Measures about 4", so it is small, but highly detailed.

The first kanji of the signature reads 'Ryu' (竜) but the 2nd character is difficult to decipher. Please post an image of the signature that is less blurred.
