Subject:Chinese or Japanese small bowl / cup

This is approx 2 inches high, top dia nearly 3 inches. I did wonder if it was japanese due to the characters running round the inside of the rim (mount fuji?).
If anyone can help with the 6 character information on the base I would appreciate it.
