Subject:Info wanted on painting

Several years ago a friend gave me what I think is a water color of a Crane. My friend was very old at the time and passed away a short time later. All I know about the painting is that my friend said it was by a "Famous" artist. My friend was Japanese and came to the U.S. post WWII. Any help is very welcome. Pics attached.
