A six-character Xuande Emperor mark 大明 宣德年志 is written in the bottom. The Wucai decoration was invented in that time of Xuande period (1426-1435) and five-clawed dragons were reserved for the use of the imperial family. Glazing seems mellow.
Is there visible black spots in the blue cobalt ?
If so you, in my opinion, you have good chances to own a excellent antique.
Cheers

Matos, I would avoid making such positive statements. Unless you're seeing something in this piece that I'm not

Dear JLim
I understand your comment however due to billions and billions of fake copies in the chineses antiques markets, specially at Guangzhou and Beijing markets, I already consider the possibility to be facing an Guangxu porcelain as an unusual moment, and the porcelain ware as an "excelent antique".
Nowadays even a real Mingúo porcelain presents a very interesting value specially in Hong Kong auction houses.
Cheers

Dear Matos

That is not the impression I got from your initial comment. I don't think you are being entirely straightforward. But be that as it may.

As for my opinion: this object is not Xuande in origin. An object like this from the Guangxu period would not be "a excellent antique" as you claim; but this piece does not even have that distinction!

This object is a brand new fake. Notice the cartoony shape of the dragon's red claw, and the reflections show that the enamel has absolutely no wear but is still "gritty".

I have seen fakes very, very similar to this in shops around Sydney Australia. It seems to be a popular current subject for fakers. Sorry Jay.

Matos, if you can see something I can't then please inform, and I will withdraw my criticism.

Regards
J.Lim
