We have a bronze elephant sculpture with this makers mark and have no idea what it means or the maker. Can anyone help?

This mark, shown teetering on its right side, would in normal position read down in three stacks from the right as "Dai Ni Hon Gen Ryu Sai Sei Ya Zo" (大日本源龍齋誠谷造 - Made by Genryusai Seiya in Imperial Japan - standard characters shown here). Genryusai Seiya was a well known Japanese bronzesmith of the Meiji Period (1868-1912).

Best regards,

Bill H.
