Subject:Snuff / Medicine Bottle Container ?

Not entirely sure if this is Chinese, or Japanese..

It is pretty heavy. Maybe a clay base, and then appears to be coated with something. Not resin for sure. Not sure what it is.

Then not sure if the floral was laid on, or carved.

Hope that someone may ID what this may be.

Looks like you guys are just as stumped about this one as everyone else I have shared it with :)

Noticed I forgot to include that it is 3 1/2" tall..
