Subject:Japanese Prints
Posted By: Jennifer Dee Sun, Sep 15, 2013 IP: 96.236.156.118 This is an example one print of a series of 7 that I bought at an estate sale. I am interested in finding the name of the artist so I can further investigate. |

Posted By: Steve Fri, Sep 20, 2013 I believe that signature may read 'Morikiyo' Ga - the Ga simply means 'drawn', the print-makers equivalent of 'Saku', meaning 'made'. Could be wrong on this as I went for a straight translation and Ukiyo artists often chose obscure pronunciations for standard kanji. |
