My wife found these and we just wanted to double check what they were before I put them on the wall. We can't read kanji and were hoping that someone might know. Thanks!

First, I can't tell from the photos, but I am inclined to think these might be original paintings. They were done in 2001 by an artist who signs and seals his name - Jian Ming.

They are probably characters from a well known story. If you post photos of the inscriptions, perhaps someone can tell you more.
