Subject:Help Translate Writing and Age of Two Shallow Bowls
Posted By: Linda Fri, Dec 20, 2013 IP: 67.238.176.166 Please help me identify the Asian writing and approximate age of these two shallow bowls. The painted scenes look black & orange-red, with a faint bluish color bleed around the tree. Each one measures approx. 7-1/4" square. They are glazed with the exception of the bottoms. Thanks! |

Posted By: Andrew Zhao Thu, Dec 26, 2013 The porcelain two shallow bowls were painted by the artist Cu Shanqing ( original name is Ren Guoqiang ) an Chinese artist who came to Taiwai from China in 1948. He is a very good in porcelain art in Taiwan. He died in Taiwan in 2005. He has only 75 pieces of artworks in his life. So, the two you collected are very valuable. |

Posted By: Linda Fri, Dec 27, 2013 I was going to list them on ebay, but I'm not so sure that would be the best place, since I can't find anything about him on the web. Does anyone have a link showing examples of his art, or what his work sold for in the past? |
