Subject:Japanese Brush Painting

Good afternoon,
I reacently acquired a Japanese brush painting that was originally purchased back in the late 1960s or early 1970s at Art/Asia in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
I'm hoping someone out there can help me to identify the artist. The painting is signed, but only with a "chop".
I've included two pictures. One of the painting, the other of the "chop".
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
