Hi. We have a pair of these vases, and would love to know more about them. What do the markings mean? Age? any value? They stand approx. 30 inches high. Have owned them for 50 yrs.

Ok, I will help.
These are post 1920s Japanese ceramic vases influenced by the famous Satsuma family pottery company in Japan, which used a family crest with a cross in a circle.
These vases are very large and ornate reproductions made for export. The MADE IN JAPAN was in use after 1921, due to changes to the USA import tarif act.
