Subject:identify mark on vase

Hello All! Can anyone identify the mark on this porcelain and brass vase? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated! Thank you! David.

The mark appears to be of the French Samson firm. The Kovels' guide shows a similar mark dated circa 1875, and the following forum thread also shows a similar one as 19th century.
