Posted By: rat Sun, Aug 17, 2014 Looks like 次, which in Japanese usually denotes a second-born son in male given names, but I am not sure what it signifies standing alone.

Posted By: Bill H Mon, Aug 18, 2014 According to WWWJDIC, one of my favorite online dictionaries, 次 can be the Japanese given name Tsugu, the surname Takatsugi and the unclassified personal names Tsuguru and Yadoru. Just don't aske me to explain why.
