Bought this at an estate sale. Was wondering the artists name and if anyone could place a date on it. Thanks in advance.

Yoshikazu....someone has written the English spelling of the artist's name in pencil. 1850's.
This print has been left in the sun and/or bleached, so the colors and condition is quite degraded.

The artist's signature is on the left of the print under the woman's right arm. As some clod wrote on the print, it looks like the artist is Yoshikazu. It was printed in the 6th lunar month of 1855 (or possibly 1867).

Cheers,
Stan

Tim has a point. I thought it might be an aizuri-e (blue print). Even then it looks in poor shape. Our only Yoshikazu print is in pretty poor shape, too.

Cheers,
Stan
