Posted By: Bill H Sun, Aug 31, 2014 Could be Seto for all I know, but the blue just isn't the brighter shade I associate with the antique Seto wares that have passed my way. Here are a couple of pictures, first a 10.5 inch-tall pot that may have been a water container or perhaps a hibachi. Then a 16 inch-tall vase. Both have applied dragon decoration in the Hirado style, as well as blues meant to mimic the Hirado palette. Period made probably late Meiji or Taisho (circa 1900-1925) |
