Posted By: Bill H Mon, Dec 01, 2014 This appears to be a fairly recent Indonesian carving of a mythical leonine creature called the barong. Such handicrafts are standard fare wherever tourists go in Indonesia, especially Bali.

Posted By: Mikeoz Mon, Dec 01, 2014 Not a fu dog and not Chinese. This is a Barong, from Bali, and represents the character from the dramatic battle between the Barong, who represents good, and the evil witch Rangda, the epitome of bad.
