Subject:Chinese Ceremonial Battle Axes?
Posted By: rat Mon, Jan 26, 2015 They are indeed made of stone and metal but they are also reproductions/imitations of Chinese weapons. Ernst and others who comment here on jade objects and other stone objects can tell you a bit about the aging and distressing techniques the Chinese use on stone. It's possible these are more than a decade or two old, but I very much doubt they precede the early 20th century. |
