Subject:How old is this Chinese Horseshoe back chair?

My husband and I bought this chair in 1986 and were told it was ~125 years old (circa 1850). Additional information was that it was made of either blackwood or ironwood and and when it was made it was a copy of an older style Chinese chair. Can anyone tell me if this information is true and any additional information you might have. Thanks SBL

It was probably new at the time you purchased it.
