Subject:Is this jichimu? /what is the wood in this tansu?

Hi all, I have a fairly unusual Japanese meiji era ships chest/merchant chest and am wondering if anyone on here can tell me whether the wood on the drawer fronts is jichimu or else suggest what else it might be?
