Subject:Chinese Porcelain Figure - Moving hand
Posted By: Pete Mon, Mar 23, 2015 IP: 188.29.60.104 I have a large Chinese porcelain figure of a man in a robe. Height 34cm. The base is marked 'E' and shows it is bisque porcelain. I bought it with his hand broken off. As can be seen the hand has a plug and socket so I think it may be a moving hand similar to German nodder figures. He also has nostril holes in his nose right through. I am guessing it's c1900. Has anyone seen a similar figure? |
