Hello,

I bought a Chinese shipwreck bowl which partly covered with shells and mollusks. Do you have any idea how could I remove them without damaging the bowl's glaze?

Thank you for your answer.
Best regards, Elizabeth

You may damage the value of the piece by trying to remove them. They are part of the history (provenance) of the bowl. Most conservators would advise you not to do this.
