Subject:Modern Chinese paintings - Artist?

I feel like I've seen this artist's work before in one of the big auction houses, but I just can't find it.

Each measures 29" x 29". Painted on paper. Gallery framed.

Love the faces and the stylized lotus blossom on an elongated stalk....so familiar, but I just can't figure out the artist.

Sorry for the poor photos...just didn't have the time to find good light. Will post better if needed.

These are supposed to be by Wang Xijing 王西京 but seem uncharacteristic of what can be seen of his style online. That on the left is dated spring 2009.
