Subject:Kangxi porcelain cup?
Posted By: Chris Wed, Nov 18, 2015 IP: 89.73.72.42 Is it possible that this cup is from Kangxi period? I have seen item with similar decoration in museum. Measurements are 6,2 x 4,6 cm. Porcelain is of very good quality. The surface of this cup is uneven. The mark reads according to my chinese friend "yellow flower". |

Posted By: Robert Thu, Nov 19, 2015 The other possibility is Chinese 'ko-sometsuke' porcelain made for the Japanese market, but these look Japanese. The cups are decorated and glazed allover and appear to have been fired on 3 spur supports - a Japanese technique - rather than on a foot ring. |
