Greetings,
I have two pieces of Asian art that have graced our household for over 50 years. I do not know what country they are from or anything about them. I would like to find out more to pass along to our grandchild that will be receiving the pictures. Sorry for the poor quality images.

They are painted in clothe and one has what might be a signature.

Paintings on silk were popular Japanese souvenirs for American service people in the 1950s because they could be rolled up for easy carrying or mailing. Scores of kiosks on the Ginza sold them unframed, with tigers and cranes being the most popular.

These are Japanese paintings on silk. Unfortunately the picture quality doesn't allow much else to be said about them. Clearer and close up photos will give the Japan experts here something to work with.

Thanks rat! I am posting some more pictures that will, hopefully, give us more information. I also have no clue what these are worth. I am giving these to one of our grandsons that loves birds.
