Subject:horse statue

Hello all! Can anyone identify this small 3 1/2" high horse statue for me? It is quite detailed and doesn't appear to be a Xian style terracotta figure; it is black painted over gold paint; not certain of the primary material but the horse is fairly light (see photos!). Any assistance with this query would be greatly appreciated! Thank you! David.
