Subject:Chinoiserie Early European porcelain

Posted By: Bill H Tue, Mar 01, 2016 Possibly French. Samson uses crosshatching in some of their marks, though I've never seen it comprising the whole thing. A similar tone of iron red also seems to turn up in some chinoiserie from the Bayeux kilns. However, I can't recall seeing those distinctive dragons anywhere else. |

Posted By: billy d Sat, Mar 05, 2016 Thanks Bill. I have a lot of Samson pieces, copying the Yongzheng Qianlong pieces with a different mark than the usual Samson pseudo Chinese mark. I have uploaded one. I too was thinking Bayeux but can't find anything close to this. It is an oddity |
