Subject:Please help me authenticate this Qianlonf butterfly vase!
Posted By: Jackie Sun, Mar 13, 2016 IP: 101.177.235.38 Hello! I found this base at my Dad's house, it has an alleged Qianlong mark on the bottom and many intricate butterflies on it. It seems to be of great quality except the neck of the vase Is somewhat askew. Do you think this is a 20th century replica?

Posted By: rat Mon, Mar 14, 2016 yes, no earlier than second half 20th century, likely quite recently made. not a close replica, rather meant as to be decorative in its own right I think.
