Subject:Large Famille Verte Rouleau Vase - Date and Authenticity
Posted By: Elke Sun, Mar 13, 2016 IP: 85.177.130.218

Hello All,
can any experienced member tell me anything about this large chinese "Famille Verte" rouleau vase.
It measures: height 45 cm x ca 18 cm diameter (17,7" x ca 7"), weight ca. 3 kg.

To me it looks rather well and finely painted, What do the experts say: Is it authentic? And if so, should it rather be made in 19.th century or real kangxi made??

Suggestions and are welcomed.

Greetings from Germany,

Elke

Hi! Based on the images i do not think it is actually made during kangxi. It is however a mid to late 19th century vase in the style of kangxi. I can say that confidently because if you look at the foot of the vase. Kangxi porcelain foots are very clean and not filled with black dots/patches. Hope this helps.
