Subject:Looking for information about these paintings.
Posted By: Rick Dorrington Sat, May 28, 2016 IP: 209.226.209.82

I'm wondering if anyone can tell me anything about these paintings. The first is about 11" x 15". The second is about 12" x 18". It could very well be that they are the same size but the first painting's edges are covered by the matting in the frame. These paintings are framed and under glass which accounts for some odd reflections in the photos but the paintings appear to be in rather good condition. I'm reluctant to remove them from their frames until I know a little bit more about them. The artist's seal on each painting appear to be similar but they are very faint. I have attempted to try to enhance one of the seals but it is still very hard to read.

Many thanks for any information that anyone could provide.

no commercial value, the content relates to popular Daoism: peaches of longevity, and an image of Shoulao, the deity of longevity. very low quality.

Thanks for taking the time to comment. The value and quality of these paintings aside, I know more about them now than I did before.
