I am mostly interested in Chinese culture and arts, and I love to bring a little sense of retro style in every aspect in everyday living. I love the Idea of the integration of western and eastern culture !!

My home is full of Chinese style furniture and decorations. So I came across this collection of antique-inspired drink ware named Tripod glass, I got so excited and wanted to share with everyone !

I've read their website and the design of the vessel is based on the drinking vessel of Shang Dynasty also known as the the Bronze age of China. It is believed that these special designed drinking vessel were used in worshiping rituals by the Emperors for the harmony of the empire. I think Tripod is designed for the number three has a special meaning for the Chinese, harmonizing human, the gods and the earth.

Does anyone focus their art collection on Chinese drinking vessels or The Shang Dynasty? Please share more info and your expertise with me !

Those bronze vessels may well have inspired shapes of modern glassware, but were not made for drinking from. And there was no whisky in ancient China.
